Job Description :

Performs a variety of budgetary functions implementing the Division’s budgetary program, policies, and procedures.
Develops, formulates and revises program budget requests.
Manages assigned program(s) in accordance with funding limitations provided on Funding Authorization Documents (FADS).
Validates the accuracy of budget data estimates by the use of statistical techniques, e.g., extensions, averages, trend analysis of historical data.
Monitors and tracks obligations, accruals, expenditures and disbursements for assigned activity accounts on related budgetary forms, schedules, and reports.
Verifies that obligations, accruals, expenditures and disbursements occur on a timely basis in accordance with monthly and annual work plans and regulatory controls.
Helps to ensures that programs do not exceed the amounts programmed and/or funded.
Works with data extracts from Deltek and other financial tracking resources to resolve any discrepancies.

Job Requirements :

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting with a minimum of 10 years of  experience.
     
  • Must be skilled at capturing complex financial data in an Excel spreadsheet environment and accurately developing status reports, information summaries, cost accrual/expenditure presentations and projections.
     
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
     
  • Self-Starter requiring minimal supervision
     
  • Familiarity with automated financial accounting systems and the extraction of data from these systems into Excel spreadsheet-based documents for decision making
     
  • Familiarity with Army programs
     
  • Ability to develop financially related briefing summaries
     
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
     
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally

    Additional Information:

     

  • May be subject to a government security investigation and have to satisfy eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
