Job Description :

    Serve as the Deputy to the Vice President of Strategic Services in managing the existing S3 work and assist him/her in the development of new work initiatives consistent with the corporation’s overall business plan. Must be a proven leader, capable of effectively leading and managing a staff of engineering and operations professionals to deliver quality services and products to customers as promised. Duties fall into three main categories: Team Development, Business Operations (Contractual, Technical, and Accounting), Market Development (Business generation). Typical activities include some combination of the following, as appropriate:

  • Team Development
  • Assist Program Managers in understanding customer objectives and their leadership role to satisfy those objectives.
  • Recruit and develop outstanding technical personnel to continue to deliver high quality, high performance systems, products and services.
  • Promote team spirit, open communications, and encourage individuals to present their ideas and solutions in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Establish a quality image of professionalism and technical competence within the team, as well as with customers and business partners.

  • Business Operations
  • Guide and assist Program Managers in planning and executing business capture activities for new programs.
  • Support Program Managers in program management and /or team development activities as required.
  • Monitor/track Government deliverables on all associated S3 Task Orders
  • Oversee the funding lines (SLIN/CLIN’s) for all associated S3 Task Orders
  • Quickly grasp and support the STI Quality Management Systems (QMS) processes and procedures serving as the S3 Lead for QMS.
  • Manage the Revenue and Operating Income for the S3 Business Unit (the summation of all Programs).
  • Lead and manage the successful design, development, deployment and maintenance of STI’s present and future products and services to customers so as to add value to their enterprises, as promised.
  • Essentially serve as the Executive Officer for the Vice President of Strategic Services

  • Market Development:
  • Represent the Company with customers via technical papers, personal contact and conference participation, exploiting appropriate strategic and Sensor relationships.
  • Support the VPSS in identifying and developing new segments within the strategic services market
  • Support Sensor Business planning activities as required. (e.g. strategy development, sales forecasting, policy development, annual Business Plan).

Job Requirements :

    Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of successful program/business management experience three (3) of which shall be within the last five (5) years, on large government technical contracts. Must have a Bachelors degree or demonstrated program experience in Accounting, Program Management, Engineering, Information Systems, Electronic Publishing, Communications or related field. A Masters degree in Business Management is desired. Prior success as a Program Manager with emphasis on leadership and management skills as well as proven technical leadership with both hardware and software systems development. Proven and verifiable track record of consistently completing/sustaining product and services delivery as well as building on that performance base to garner new work generation.
    Must be a US citizen
