Job Description :
STI is building a team of top-notch,
multi-faceted Embedded Mentors to enable soldiers and
other military analysts in advanced analytical and
technical processes. Made up of intelligence professionals
with diverse experience and a broad exposure to JIOC/DCGS-A/IDC
tools, Embedded Mentors will deploy to DCGS-A locations
both domestically and internationally, including Iraq and
Afghanistan. Embedded Mentors will be THE go-to resources
for solving the hard analytic problems and ensuring that
more junior analysts are continually exposed to creative
and innovative problem-solving techniques. Deployment
lengths will vary according to the customer needs,
rotational arrangements, and Mentor preferences. Embedded
Mentors will travel to supported units via any means
necessary to meet mission requirements. This can include,
but is not limited to military aircraft or ground convoy.
When not deployed, Embedded Mentors will join other
non-deployed Mentors in a collegial production and
on-the-job training environment designed to support units
and develop new Embedded Mentors. Travel is expected to be
up to 50% but may be exceeded due to mission requirements.

Job Requirements :
A Bachelors degree is desired but
not required. Four (4) years of extra experience may
substitute for an undergraduate degree.
The ideal candidate will possess 4-10 years of
experience within the Intelligence Community performing
exceptionally as an Intelligence Analyst and informal
trainer. Experience with SIPR, JWICS, Analyst Notebook,
ArcGIS, Starlight and various other analysis-related
technologies and data sources are important, as is a
demonstrated ability to understand technical and
computer-related issues. A strong grasp of at least one
Intelligence discipline (SIGINT, OSINT, HUMINT, etc) is
required, as is a clear understanding of the Intelligence
Cycle and an analyst's role within it.
Desired Skills: Creativity, analytical thinking,
pattern-recognition and problem solving abilities are
paramount in this dynamic environment. An interest in
interacting with junior personnel in a mentoring (not the
same as training) capacity is also important, as is an
ability to work among a team of highly-qualified peers.
The ability to troubleshoot complex systems and
applications as well as a capacity to pass on deficiencies
to technical professionals is highly desired.
